This policy explains how BPG Renewables Pvt Ltd (BIOPOWER) collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information when you visit biopower.co.in or contact us for biogas, Bio-CNG, OWC, or STP solutions.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the website https://biopower.co.in and related marketing pages operated by BPG Renewables Pvt Ltd (“BIOPOWER”, “we”, “us”, “our”). It does not apply to third-party websites we link to (including Synod Mart shop, social media platforms, or partner sites), which have their own policies.

By using our website, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or submit personal information through our forms.

2. Information we collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

  • Information you provide: name, phone number, email address, company or organisation name, project location, waste quantity, product interest, project type, and message content when you submit our contact or enquiry form on contact.html.
  • Communication data: records of emails, phone calls, or WhatsApp messages if you contact us directly using details published on the site.
  • Technical and usage data: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, pages visited, time spent, referring URL, and approximate location (city/region level) collected through analytics tools.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: small files stored on your device to remember preferences and measure site usage (see Section 6).

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data (such as financial account details, health records, or government ID numbers) through the public website contact form. Please do not submit such information unless we explicitly request it for a contracted project.

  • Authorities when required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, or property

Third-party services may process data on servers located outside India. Where required, we take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies, including:

  • Google Analytics 4 (Measurement ID: G-KT48H7F23D) to understand traffic, page views, and conversion events such as contact form submissions, phone clicks, email clicks, and WhatsApp clicks

7. Contact form processing

When you submit the contact form, your details are transmitted to a secure Google Apps Script web application operated by BIOPOWER and stored in our designated Google Workspace or spreadsheet backend for sales follow-up. Form submission triggers a GA4 event (contact_form_submit) for internal analytics only.

Do not use the form to send confidential contractual documents unless we provide a secure channel for that purpose.

8. Data retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described above, including:

  • Active sales enquiries: typically up to 24 months from last contact, unless a longer period is needed for an ongoing project or legal claim
  • Customer and project records: for the duration of the business relationship and as required by tax, contract, or regulatory retention rules
  • Analytics data: as configured in Google Analytics (subject to Google’s retention settings)

When data is no longer required, we delete or anonymise it using reasonable measures.

9. Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These include HTTPS on the public site, access controls on enquiry records, and limited internal access on a need-to-know basis.

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We aim to acknowledge grievances within 7 business days and resolve them within 30 days where possible, or inform you of the reason for delay.

Our website and services are directed at businesses, institutions, and adults seeking waste-to-energy solutions. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Our site contains links to external websites (social media, Synod Group, shop, government resources). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Review their policies before providing personal information.
